INEC Extend Osun PVC Collection Deadline Go July 31

Di Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) don extend di collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) for Osun State till Friday, July 31, 2026. Dem do am so that more voters go fit collect dia card before di August 15 governorship election.

INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, announce di extension for stakeholders meeting wey hold for Osogbo on Wednesday.

E talk say as at di close of PVC collection di previous day, 322,822 voters don collect dia card. Dat one na 60% of all di newly registered people.

“Consequent upon this, di commission don extend di deadline,” Amupitan talk.

E still confirm say di commission don finalize di voter register. According to am, 2,339,233 eligible voters dey for di register. Dem dey spread across 30 Local Government Areas, 332 wards, and 3,763 polling units.

E add say 14 political parties go participate for di upcoming election.
