All di commercial driver for lagos state don yan  say, dem go waka for seven days protest.

According to dem, Na sake of allegations of plenty extortion by di management of parks and garages wey dey inside di south west state.

Dem waka come with di Joint Drivers' Welfare Association of Nigeria (JDWAN) tok am for one press statement dem release ova di weekend.

Wan person wey be JDWAN too say dem dey saddened say despite our dedication to our work, we dey subjected to indiscriminate extortion, violent harassment by di management.

Dem National Leader of di association, Comrade Akintade Abiodun say di multiple levies on di joint drivers by di garage boys and law enforcement agents don cause increase in di prices of food items for Lagos compared wit oda states, as garage boys wey mount road blocks on Lagos road dey put plenty money on consignments wey dey enta di state.

WATING DEM DEY ASK FOR 

Bus drivers for Lagos say dem no want make di transport union management dey charge dem ‘three passengers money’ afta dem load for parks or for garage. Dem only wan pay money of one passenger per bus.

Dem want make e be say na only Lagos State government ticket dem go collect.

Dem no wan pay motor park thugs for every bus stop. Dem want make goment cancel every illegal money dem go pay afta dem comot for garage and parks.

Dem also want make goment end all harassment on drivers by law enforcement agencies plus intimidation wit guns, cutlass, broken bottles by LASTMA, task force and RRS.

Di drivers association also ask Lagos State goment to provide official bus stop for buses in each community inside di state to avoid unnecessary arrest of dia drivers by law enforcement officers.

JDWAN threaten to carry out more protest for di state and embark on total boycott of services if goment no agree to dia demands.

Meanwhile, di state commissioner of information say dem don begin discuss wit di drivers association and dem go settle di mata.

“E no get any need to panic”, Gbenga Omotosho tok.

“Government don dey look into di mata and dem go return for  more toks.”

Im add am say Lagos get ogbonge transportation machinery so if e get any disagreement for one area, e no mean say di whole of Lagos State go dey grounded.
