Governor Adeleke declare Tuesday work-free day make people go collect PVC
Osun State Government don talk say Tuesday, July 28 go be work-free day for all public servants for di state. Di reason na make everybody get time go collect dia Permanent Voter Card (PVC), as di state dey gear up for August 15 governorship election.
Di order come after INEC don finish first round of PVC distribution for di state 332 Registration Areas. From July 29 to August 7, dem go continue di collection for INEC 30 Local Government offices.
INEC before now talk say only 192,702 PVCs don collect so far. Na just 37.5% of di ones wey dem don distribute for Osun.
For circular wey Head of Service, Ayanleye Aina sign, di state government say di work-free day go cover everybody — local government workers and people wey dey work for state-owned tertiary institutions too.
According to Governor Ademola Adeleke spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, dem do am so workers go fit do dia civic duty by collecting dia voter card before di election and other elections wey go follow.
But essential workers like doctors and security people go make internal arrangement make sure say critical services no stop.
